Allister Coetzee from the media briefing
Putting the match fee and bonus issue to bed, the coach said, “Our players have had a very good deal and are a happy unit. We have issued a release with Sarpa and will say no more on the issue.”
Returning to the rugby the coach said, “These next 4 games are crucial to our campaign and it’s all about the rugby for us. The Cheetahs are a good side and we will need to be top of our game. They play with great width, have an excellent set piece and have a good kicking game. It’s going to be tough. We are all back at the HPC after a short break and training and preparation is progressing well.”
On the injury front Andries Bekker, Gio Aplon, Eben Etzebeth and JDV are all available for selection.
The coach also squashed rumours that Peter Grant had signed saying he would release player movement and contracting information when it was finalised and available. He also confirmed Franscois Louw would not be joining up with the DHL Stormers.
