New recruits on view included Boks Bryan Habana and Jaque Fourie as well as national U21 flyhalf Lionel Cronje and speedster Fabian Juries.

Having had to cancel a planned training camp in Mossel Bay due to the severe water restrictions in place, the squad is using the week both from a conditioning and team-building viewpoint, with a number of fun events planned like yesterdays trip to Sahara Park Newlands to support the Proteas.

The Vodacom Stormers will play 3 warm-up games against the Force on 23 January, The Sharks on 29 January (both at Newlands) and then Boland at the Cape Town Stadium on 6 February.

The Vodacom Stormers also take on neighbours the Nashua Cape Cobras in their annual 20/20 fun cricket challenge at Sahara Park Newlands on 17 January.
