DHL Stormers take on the Nashua Mobile Cape Cobras

The DHL Stormers and Nashua Mobile Cape Cobras will go head to head for charity when they take part in the Pick n Pay Newlands Challenge at Sahara Park, Newlands, on Sunday 13 February.

The challenge, now in its 6th year, will see these fierce competitors in a showdown as they test their skills in a Pro-20 game of cricket (with certain restrictions in place)

First ball will be bowled at 12pm with an innings break soccer show for kids on the field from Ajax Cape Town FC and Santos FC.

Part of the proceeds from the Pick n Pay Challenge will go to the DHL Stormers official charity, the Chris Burger/Petro Jackson Fund as well as the Nashua Mobile Cape Cobras chosen charity. Stadium vendors will be operational and the beer gardens will be open.

“The Pick n Pay Challenge is a great concept, not only for the players and spectators but also for all those that benefit from the event such as the charities. It is a fun and entertaining day for the whole family and fans love the opportunity to come and see both their favourite Cape based sides doing battle against each other,” said Schalk Burger, DHL Stormers captain.

So bring your friends and family along for this fun-filled day. Tickets are selling at R30 for adults and R15 for under 16s.
