The DHL Stormers went down 36-18 against the defending champion Glasgow Warriors in their Vodacom United Rugby Championship quarterfinal at Scotstoun on Friday.

It was a disappointing end to the campaign for the DHL Stormers, who endured a frustrating evening in Glasgow.

The DHL Stormers spent the first five minutes camped in the opposition 22 and eventually took three points through a Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu penalty.

The home side hit back with two tries as flank Rory Darge scored from an attacking line-out move before wing Kyle Rowe added a second following a yellow card for Seabelo Senatla.

Senatla returned to the action and got on the scoresheet himself as he claimed a loose ball to race away and score.

Glasgow No.8 Henco Venter scored in the corner from an attacking maul and although the DHL Stormers pressed hard in the late stages of the first half, the hosts were able to hold out and take a 19-13 advantage into the break.

Both teams scored early in the second half as first Senatla finished a well-worked backline move for his second before Rowe wriggled over for his own double.

Scrumhalf George Horne scored the next try as he finished off a counter-attack and he added a penalty soon afterwards which saw the Scottish side take their lead out to 36-18.

The DHL Stormers spent the last 20 minutes with all of the ball, but could not make it count as their season ended in Glasgow.
