The DHL Stormers scored all of the points in the second half to hand Benetton a 31-16 defeat in their Vodacom United Rugby Championship clash in Treviso on Saturday.

Despite trailing at the break, the DHL Stormers came out firing in the second half and powered their way to their first-ever win in Treviso to extend their unbeaten start to the season with five consecutive wins.

The visitors started on the front foot and it was not long before tighthead prop Sazi Sandi burst through to score the opening try.

The hosts responded with two penalties from flyhalf Jacon Umaga, but the DHL Stormers went back in front through a penalty from Jurie Matthee.

Those were however their last points of the first half as Benetton crossed via wing Louis Lynagh before Umaga added three more points to give them a 16-8 advantage at half-time.

The DHL Stormers started the second half with real intent and there were 10 points from Matthee as he slotted a penalty and then finished off a free-flowing attacking movement.

His conversion put the visitors back in front and he would add another penalty shortly afterwards to make it 21-16.

They would have the final say as well, with replacement Ruan Ackermann crashing over from close range to put the seal on a dominant second-half performance and continue the unbeaten start to the season.
