DHL Stormers face Sunwolves at DHL Newlands

The DHL Stormers will take on the Sunwolves in a Vodacom Super Rugby encounter at DHL Newlands on Saturday.

Kick-off at DHL Newlands will be at 17h15 on Saturday as the DHL Stormers look to make it five wins in front of the DHL Newlands Faithful this season when they face the Japanese team.

Parking is available at schools in the stadium vicinity and will also open at 15h00 at Groote Schuur Primary School (R50), Groote Schuur High School (R50), Sans Souci Girls’ High School (R50) and Rondebosch Preparatory (R50), SACS Preparatory (R50). No braaing allowed on these fields.

Gates on matchday will open at 15h15, so spectators are encouraged to allow enough time to clear security and get to their seats timeously in order to avoid missing any of the action.

Tickets are available through Computicket- either online at wprugby.computicket.com – or in-store and also from Shoprite/Checkers stores and the DHL Newlands Box Office during match weeks. Only tickets bought from wprugby.computicket.com, or any Computicket outlet will be valid at DHL Newlands. These are the only outlets which are licenced to sell tickets to DHL Newlands. Tickets obtained from any other source may not be valid.

On Sunday DHL Western Province will be looking to end the league phase of the SuperSport Rugby Challenge unbeaten and top the South Section when they face Boland in what will be the last of three games at Tygerberg RFC.

Action will get underway at 10h30 when hosts Tygerberg face Durbanville-Bellville in a club game, with the Cell C Sharks up against SWD Eagles at 12h30 before the Cape derby at 14h30.

Gates open at 09h30, with entrance free and parking available in the vicinity at a cost of R20 per vehicle.

In 2019 there will be more ticket options beyond the standard season ticket and matchday ticket. The DHL Newlands Faithful will be able to ‘Upgrade to Business Class’ in a special offer. The halfway line Business Class seats have been refurbished on the halfway line in Block H on the Railway Stand and holders of these tickets will also have exclusive access to the Railway Coach bars both before, during and after the match. These prime seats will cost R320 each.

There will be no public signing session held after the game.

Western Province Rugby reserves the right to refuse admission to, or to eject from the Ground, any person who in the reasonable opinion of WP Rugby, its servants or agents, makes or incites any form of racial abuse, chanting, gesturing or behaviour.

Please specifically note that unauthorised access to the field is strictly prohibited and field invaders will be subject to arrest by SAPS. In the Stadium no unauthorised person is permitted on the playing or performance area (i.e. the pitch and its surrounding and no person may remain in a gangway, entrance, exit or staircase at any time).

Spectators are also reminded that admission to the Stadium may also be denied to ticket holders under the influence of, or carrying alcohol or any narcotic substance and that the stadium is a non-smoking facility. Pass-outs are allowed at designated gates to allow smokers to exit the stadium.

Please also note that the Pickard and scholars stand are alcohol-free zones. Two beers per person may be purchased and taken onto the stands, as long as they are decanted into plastic mugs.
