What is your earliest rugby memory?

Playing bulletjie rugby with a smell of boerewors in the air.

What has been your career highlight to date?

Being part of a very special DHL Stormers group for the last seven years.

Who has had the biggest impact on your career and why?

Pote Human - He backed me when I was at my lowest, (injuries, confidence, enjoyment) and helped me to start loving rugby again back in 2017.

What do you like to do when you are not playing rugby?

Spending time with my wife & daughter, going on trips with them. We love the Garden Route. I enjoy golf and try to play when I can, I find it relaxing and taking money off people is lekker! Going to the Kruger Park with our extended family is a trip we try to plan yearly. During our off season we have got a regular hunting weekend with Brokkie & die Boksombende which is always top!

Who has been the most influential person in your life and why?

Jesus, He was, He is, and He will always be the Man.

What is your favourite city you have visited and why?

Edinburgh, Scotland. The architecture and the whole feel of the city is something to behold!

What is your favourite meal?

Skaapboud with baby potatoes and pumpkin fritters. Couple of chuckles to wash it all down.

Who was your rugby hero growing up?

Heinrich Brussow.

Jesus, AB de Villiers, Scottie Scheffler, Nelson Mandela, Bill Johnson.

Which DHL Stormers player do you think is most likely to become a coach one day and why?

Ruhan Nel, his understanding of the game is world class and he has the right temperament.

Best - Damian Willemse. Worst - BJ Dixon.
