Vodacom Stormers select team for Lions

There are no surprises, with Springboks Jaque Fourie and Bryan Habana making their Super 14 debuts for the Cape franchise. Gio Aplon has been selected ahead of big Sereli Naqelevuki at right wing on the back of fantastic pre-season form.

Schalk Burger has been declared fit to lead the side after some concern about a shoulder injury he picked up during the warm-up game against a Boland XV last Saturday. He will be leading the side.

His flank partner, Francois Louw, has also been declared fit. Duane Vermeulen will be making a positional swift from flank to No 8 – the position occupied by the departed Luke Watson last year.
