More than just the rugby at DHL Stadium
Make sure you get down to DHL Stadium early on Saturday to enjoy all the pre-match activities ahead of the Castle Lager Rugby Championship clash between the Springboks and the All Blacks.
There is a lot going on to keep you entertained before kick-off, so take advantage of the parking and free MyCiTi shuttles operating from UCT, Century City Steelbridge E-Parking, CTICC and the Civic Centre to make sure you don’t miss out. CLICK HERE for more info on parking and shuttle options.
Gates at DHL Stadium will open at 12h30 with the Springbok Women in action against Barbarians RFC at 13h30 and the Castle Lager Rugby Championship match kicking off at 17h00.
On arrival at the main gates you will be greeted by Cape Town Carnival performers as you enter using your digital tickets from Ticketmaster. CLICK HERE for more info on the digital tickets and how to ensure easy access to DHL Stadium.
SA Rugby will be collecting unused boots, balls, kits, and equipment at the UCT and Century City Park and Ride areas as well as on entry to the stadium. All donations will be refurbished and redistributed to underprivileged communities with the aim of helping children and grassroots clubs have access to the game that we all love. Each item that is donated will also be assigned a unique number which allows the donor to be entered into a lucky draw to stand a chance of chance of winning a jersey that has been signed by the SA Rugby Legends.
Ice cold beverages will be sold from multiple bars around the podium, concourse and Level 6.
There are a variety of live performances set to take place both before and after the rugby in the stadium.
The Castle Lager stage on the north side of the stadium will see 5fm DJ Austin Cassim host performances from Majozi (15:10 – 15:45), Aking (15:55 – 16:30) and PHFat (19:25 – 20:00).
DJ Phil will entertain the crowd at the Love Garden on the south side of the stadium.
DJ Goodtymz, DJ Li-Chi and DJ Jem will perform at the bar in the Double Volume space on the east side of the stadium, which is the only public bar stocking wine and spirits as well as beer.
The sponsors’ village is on the golf course side of the podium and will host a variety of fun interactive games for the whole family as well as giveaways from brands such as MTN, SAB, Switch, Dove, Toyota, Energade, Thirsti and Freddy Hirsch.
Springbok merchandise will be on sale in the Visitors Centre and at various points on the podium and in the precinct.
If you can’t make it early enough to support the Springbok Women at 13h30, aim to be inside the stadium no later than 15h30 and in your seats by 16h40 to ensure you do not miss any of the pre-match entertainment on the field, the anthems and the Haka.
