Milestone for Leyds at DHL Newlands
Outside back Dillyn Leyds is set to earn his 50th Vodacom Super Rugby cap for the DHL Stormers in the encounter with the Cell C Sharks at DHL Newlands on Saturday.
The versatile Leyds, who came through the junior ranks at the union, played three Vodacom Super Rugby games for the Western Force in 2014, before returning to Cape Town, making his DHL Stormers debut at the start of the 2015 season.
Since then he has featured at fullback, wing and flyhalf for the DHL Stormers, developing into a key player in Head Coach Robbie Fleck’s squad.
The match at DHL Newlands will also serve as a farewell for loose forward Nizaam Carr, scrumhalf Dewaldt Duvenage, prop JC Janse van Rensburg and wing Raymond Rhule, who are leaving to play in Europe.
The action at DHL Newlands will kick off at 14h40 on Saturday, when DHL Western Province U19 take on Vodacom Blue Bulls U19 in their first match of the season.
Make sure you get down to DHL Newlands early on Saturday, to stand together with our teams and ensure you do not miss a thing.
