The DHL Stormers are looking for what would be their fifth consecutive win against their old rivals, but will have their work cut out in front of a big crowd.

It is overcast but dry at Loftus, let’s hope the rain stays away and we have a great game.

0 – Kick-off at Loftus. Great early defence forces a knock-on, so we have a scrum.

4 – High ball and Senatla makes contact in the air so Bulls kick into our half.

6 – Backline off the line too quickly, so the home team are able to open the scoring with a penalty.

8 – Bulls knock a high ball on so we have a scrum.

10 – Breakdown penalty this time and another three points for the home team at Loftus to make it 6-0.

13 – Bulls offside from the restart so Manie kicks the points to put us on the scoreboard.

15 – We continue to trade three-pointers at Loftus as the home side kick their third after obstruction from Theunissen to make it 9-3.

18 – Deon Fourie taken out way beyond the breakdown, so Libbok can kick to the 22.

20 – Hendricks takes a high ball and races into the 22, but he is hauled down by Fourie and knocks on so we have a scrum. Penalty given so we can clear it.

22 – Engelbrecht drops it in midfield, so the Bulls have a scrum this time, 35 metres out from our tryline.

24 – Scrum penalty this time and it’s another three points off the tee for the home team to make it 12-3.

28 – What a pass from Herschel Jantjies who fires one out wide from the base for Marcel Theunissen to gallop over and score in the corner. Manie adds the extras from out wide to make it 12-10.

31 – Bulls knock it on this time and we have a scrum in our half.

33 – Scrum penalty so we can kick into their half.

37 – Breakdown penalty goes our way and Manie kicks us into the lead for the first time in the match at 13-12.

40 – That’s half-time at Loftus and we take a one-point lead into the break.

41 – Second half underway as the rain starts falling at Loftus.

42 – High tackle from Van Heerden so Bulls can kick into our half. They go wide but knock-on so we have a scrum near halfway.

44 – Scrum penalty so we can kick into their half this time. We go wide and a grubber from Libbok comes off a Bull and goes into touch in the 22.

46 – Lost forward at the base of a ruck so the Bulls have a scrum in their 22.

48 – We keep the pressure on and the Bulls have to scramble into touch. Great chance from the line-out in the 22. Ball goes over the back but the Bulls knock it on, so we have a scrum.

51 – A great counter-attack and we keep our composure to keep knocking, with Junior Pokomela driving over for the second try. Libbok’s conversion makes it 20-12.

54 – Another breakdown turnover from Deon Fourie and Libbok has a shot at goal from his own half but it goes just wide.

57 – Another period of pressure in the 22. We get over the tryline with a maul but it is held up.

60 – Morne Steyn with a 50-22 this time. Bulls on the attack, but we defend well and get it back to clear up to their 22.

62 – High ball knocked on by Blommetjies so the Bulls have a scrum just outside the 22. Bulls going through phases on the 22.

65 – Home side get their first try from wing S’bu Nkosi to bring us back to a one-point game at 20-19. This one is going down to the wire.

68 – Bulls with a scrum after Sacha drops a high ball. Another crucial turnover from Fourie means we can clear.

70 – Kriel kicks out on the full, so we can attack from the line-out on the 22.

72 – Manie slots a drop-goal to make it 23-19.

75 – Bulls kick into the 22 as they look for the winning try. We come up with the turnover when it matter most.

79 – Knocked on at the line-out so the Bulls have one last chance from the scrum.

80 – Crucial turnover in the 22 again and that is the game. We have claimed a hard-fought 23-19 win at Loftus.
