Jantjies, Taute to join DHL Stormers
The influential backs, both of whom will spend the 2013 Super Rugby season in Cape Town from the Golden Lions, became Test Springboks this year – after being part of the 2011 Absa Currie Cup-winning Lions team.
DHL Stormers coach Allister Coetzee said: “We’re very excited about having Elton and Jaco in Cape Town for next year’s Super Rugby tournament.
“They’re both quality players and we look forward to getting them involved here – both on and off the field – and seeing how they fit into the DHL Stormers culture.”
Taute, 21, tips the scales at 95 kilograms and will add depth in virtually every backline position, having made his Test debut at centre in the Castle Rugby Championship last month.
Flyhalf Jantjies, 22, weighs 88 kilograms and scored over 200 points in Super Rugby and Currie Cup rugby combined this year. Like Taute he has played in two Tests for South Africa.
