Vodacom Stormers vs Vodacom Bulls: on sale now
The traditional north-south derby will see the two teams meet for the 11th time in the Super Rugby tournament on Saturday 16 February at 17h00.
The history books show that since 1998, the Stormers have won 6 of the encounters, losing only three and drawing one. The three losses to the Bulls have however come in the last three years, and the Vodacom Stormers will want to set a good platform for the remainder of the tournament by turning the tables on their archrivals.
The Vodacom Stormers, under the guidance of new coach Rassie Erasmus, have kept a low profile in the build up to the tournament, and will do doubt call on their home ground faithful to make Newlands an intimidating venue for visiting teams this season. Newlands, the third oldest stadium in world rugby, is renowned for its passionate crowds, with the stands in close proximity to the playing field.
The Vodacom Stormers will play the Sharks in Durban and then return home to face the Crusaders at Newlands in Week 3. A month long tour of Australasia will follow, before a 5-game home run at Newlands in April/May. Tickets for April/May will be on sale as from Tuesday 18 March.
Tickets for the Vodacom Bulls match on Saturday 16 February and the Crusaders match on Friday 29 February are on sale at Computicket (and Shoprite Checkers) outlets nationwide, online at www.computicket.com or via the Call Centre on 083 915 8000.
Tickets are priced between R50 and R85 for seating, with Danie Craven Standing Room priced at R40.
