DHL Stormers Match Reports

The DHL Stormers beat Zebre Parma 31-13 in Parma on Saturday night to make it four straight wins in the Vodacom United Rugby Championship this season.

The bonus point win sees them retain their place at the top of the standings as one of only three unbeaten teams remaining after four rounds.

The match got off to a frenetic start and although the hosts threatened early it was the visitors who came up with the opening try. A powerful maul in the 22 won a penalty and Paul de Villiers scored from the resulting maul.

The DHL Stormers were over the line again, but Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu was held-up and instead it would be Zebre Parma to score next as wing Belloni grabbed an intercept to race away and put them 7-5 up against the run of play.

The DHL Stormers were held up over the tryline again, this time lock Adre Smith after crashing over from another powerful maul.

However, the visitors would eventually get it down, with Feinberg-Mngomezulu claiming a loose ball to score and put them 12-7 up at half-time.

The second half started with several powerful mauls from the DHL Stormers pack, before Feinberg-Mngomezulu stepped his way over for his second try.

The bonus point was wrapped up through a well-executed set move as Feinberg-Mngomezulu put Warrick Gelant over with a bullet pass.

Zebre responded with two penalties, but the DHL Stormers landed the final blow when skipper Ruhan Nel intercepted in the 22 to score on the stroke of full-time.
