CHOICE CUP 2011: Boland Cavaliers vs DHL Stormers
Since this pre-season friendly has become such a popular fixture on the South African Rugby Union’s calendar in recent years, this year will be the first time that these two teams will compete for the Choice Cup. It will be the final warm-up match for both teams before the season officially kicks off.
In the spirit of Valentines weekend, The Boland Cavaliers will also use this event to launch their new colours for the 2011 season, which will be used in combination with their traditional colours.
Kurt Darren & Friends will perform live in the build-up to this match.
The gates at DHL Newlands Rugby Stadium will open at 15:30, with Kurt Darren performing from 16:45, along with Sarah Theron and Wikus van der Merwe and Allistair Izobell.
Tickets cost R40 pp (standing tickets R20) and can be bought at Computicket, or at Boland Rugby’s offices. Suite and Season tickets do not apply for this specific match.
The match will be broadcasted live on SuperSport at 1800.
DHL Stormers Super Rugby tickets can be bought at Boland Rugby from 15 February (R1000 per ticket). This includes all 8 Vodacom Super Rugby matches to be played at DHL Newlands Rugby Stadium (+ possible Vodacom Super Rugby semi-final), as well as a Boland Cavaliers 2011 Supporters jersey (with pink strip).
