DHL Stormers injury update – March 27

Damian de Allende and Rynhardt Elstadt have both returned to full training ahead of schedule and will be considered for selection in the DHL Stormers next Vodacom Super Rugby game against the Sunwolves at DHL Newlands on Friday, April 8.

Scrumhalf Jano Vermaak suffered a neck disc injury in the game against the Cell C Sharks which was was worse than the specialist initially suspected. He went for surgery last week and will be out of action for three months.

Dillyn Leyds did not travel with the squad to Argentina after picking up a non-contact knee injury at training on Tuesday. He tore his Anterior Cruciate Ligament which will require surgery that will sideline him for about nine months.

Fullback Cheslin Kolbe sustained concussion in the 13-8 victory over the Jaguares in Argentina and will be reassessed later in the week.
