We Stand Together
The DHL Stormers and DHL Western Province have always enjoyed incredible support from a diverse and vibrant support base – the fiercely passionate and loyal DHL Newlands Faithful.
Building on this, the team’s 2017 rallying call will be “We stand together”.
On the field, the DHL Stormers and DHL Western Province will always seek to present a united front and back each other up no matter what. The players will always stand together as they are driven by the pride of playing for the jersey, stakeholders and crucially, their supporters, at the iconic DHL Newlands.
Of course, our teams are also well supported by our important sponsors, suppliers and partners – the teams behind the team. Our sponsors stand together with us and provide everything the players and management need to create a high performance environment in order to maximise their potential.
“In essence we were looking for one globally relevant line of text that would resonate with and could be used by our teams, sponsors/stakeholders and our diverse audiences – in good times and in bad, through wins or losses – a rallying call that symbolizes unity, passion, pride, commitment and togetherness as one – always! – We stand together,” explained Western Province Rugby Group CEO, Paul Zacks.
“The ‘We Stand Together’ campaign seeks to bring those supporters and various other stakeholders closer to the teams which represent them, as we stand together in everything that we do, both on and off the pitch.”
President of the WPRFU, Mr Thelo Wakefield, said that the ‘We Stand Together’ campaign shows how much the support that the DHL Stormers and DHL Western Province receive is appreciated.
“Our supporters have always been an immense source of pride for this union, and the ‘We Stand Together’ campaign will hopefully bring them even closer to the team and what happens on the pitch.
“With our supporters, sponsors, partners and players all standing together, I am confident that we can overcome any challenge,” he said.
