What is your earliest rugby memory?

Tag Rugby and hot dogs on Friday afternoons after school.

What has been your career highlight to date?

Beating the All Blacks at Ellis Park.

Who has had the biggest impact on your career and why?

Apart from my parents and close family it would have to be my coaches. I’ve been so blessed to have had amazing coaches through school to now. Their words have been most impactful and their passing of knowledge.

What do you like to do when you are not playing rugby?

Hangout with my mates.

Who has been the most influential person in your life and why?

My brother, he’s been there through thick and thin, of course. From a sporting aspect, however, his influence was monumental. I was five years younger than him but I always wanted to be able to compete with him and his mates. He never let me have it easy, and always played rough with me, like he would with his mates. Apart from us admiring the balling aspect, the Quade Coopers etc we loved the gritty players too and that’s what he always instilled in me - mental and physical grit.. Which, in my opinion, is the key ingredient to sporting success.

What is your favourite city you have visited and why?

Cardiff. Blast from the past as I schooled there for three months during exchange. Also the chef at Park Plaza always treats the boys to some amazing meals!

What is your favourite meal?

Steak, Avo & Sweet Potato Fries or Sushi.

Who was your rugby hero growing up?

Quade Cooper, Danny Cipriani.

If you could invite any five people to a braai, who would they be?

Cristiano Ronaldo, Mark Cuban, M Huncho, David Goggins and Gordon Ramsay to cook the meat.

Which DHL Stormers player do you think is most likely to become a coach one day and why?

Warrick Gelant - a great coach - he understands the game and the mindset that is required.

Best and worst dressed in the squad?

Coach Norman the best, Ben Loader the worst!

Funniest person in the squad and why?

Warrick Gelant he can break and build you at the same time!
