The DHL Stormers claimed a comfortable 32-7 win when the two teams met at DHL Stadium last season, but today will be a different prospect altogether against a Glasgow team that has won their last five matches and have a formidable record at home.
Blue skies at Scotstoun, so conditions look good for an early kick-off. It is chilly but we should see a good game of rugby.
0 – Kick-off at Scotstoun where we are up against the Glasgow Warriors.
2 – Great defence early on as Glasgow take it through the phases but the ball is knocked loose so we have the first scrum on the 22.
4 – Carried up to halfway, but it is knocked on by Dayimani so Glasgow have a scrum this time.
6 – We get it back and Willemse breaks up the middle. Cross-kick from Libbok and Glasgow taken into touch in the 22.
8 – Glasgow push the maul into touch and then kick long. They get it back and score on the counter-attack in the corner to make it 5-0.
11 – Blommetjies taken out in the air and Glasgow shown a yellow card for that.
13 – Penalty at the maul and we kick to the corner again. Dweba comes off the back of the maul and goes over for the try. The conversion from Libbok puts us 7-5 up.
17 – Glasgow respond with their second try as skipper Kyle Steyn scores to give them the lead back at 10-7.
19 – Knock-on from Glasgow under a high ball so we have a scrum near halfway.
22 – Glasgow not rolling away so we can kick into the corner again, but Libbok kicks it dead.
24 – Knock-on in midfield, so Glasgow have a scrum on halfway. Scrum penalty won by Fouche so Libbok kicks it out in the 22.
27 – High tackle in the 22 so we kick it into the corner again. Pressure building on the Glasgow defence.
30 – Great ball control and eventually a long pass puts Blommetjies through for the try to put us back in front at 12-10.
32 – Forward pass from Glasgow so we have a scrum and take it over halfway.
34 – Both teams kick for position. Glasgow carry it up but lose it on the ground, so we have a scrum in our own half.
36 – Front row come up with another scrum penalty to relieve the pressure.
38 – We charge into the 22 and take it through phases, but Glasgow win a penalty at the breakdown in front of the poles.
39 – Both teams exchange kicks and Glasgow eventually put it out so we have one last chance to attack before half-time.
40 – Half-time and we lead 12-10. All to play for in the second half.
42 – We win the ball back early and take it up to the 22, but Hartzenberg is taken into touch. In at the side at the maul, so Glasgow can clear.
44 – No way through the defence, so they kick up to the 22. Glasgow win a breakdown penalty and they kick into the corner.
46 – Crucial breakdown turnover in front of the poles from Deon Fourie, so we can clear.
48 – Glasgow get a scrum on halfway because Paul de Wet didn’t use it quickly enough.
50 – Glasgow break from their own half and taken down in the 22, but Huw Jones goes through for the try which puts them 17-12 up.
53 – Loose pass lost forward in midfield, so Glasgow have the scrum on halfway.
55 – Great defence forces Glasgow to kick out and we can come again from the line-out.
57 – Ball not coming out of the maul, so Glasgow have a scrum in their 22. They get a scrum penalty this time, so they can clear.
60 – Touch missed and we run it back. Glasgow not rolling away so we kick to the corner.
63 – The forwards take matters into their own hands and it is Junior Pokomela who drives over for our third try to level it up at 17-17 in Glasgow.
65 – Kitshoff wins a breakdown penalty and Libbok misses the kick, but Glasgow knock-on at the restart so we have a scrum on the 22.
67 – Glasgow get a scrum penalty so they can clear.
70 – Both teams making errors as fatigue sets in. We have a line-out near halfway.
72 – On the attack after some big hits on defence, but the ball goes out on the full just outside the 22.
74 – Glasgow come from their own half and burst into the 22, but Davids gets across and takes the man into touch. Ball not coming out and Glasgow are given the scrum right on the tryline.
75 – They get a penalty and call for another scrum.
80 – Cancilliere gets on the end of a grubber through and scores the winning try to give the Glasgow Warriors a 24-17 win.
