DHL Stormers to bloom under Red Disa Consortium
New owner Johan le Roux has emphasised how separating the commercial complexities from the Red Disa Consortium’s goal will see the DHL Stormers grow from strength to strength.
Through the consortium’s partnership with Cape Town-based Fynbos Ekwiteit, along with Marble Head Investments and Ardagh Glass Packaging, Le Roux and his team have secured a controlling shareholding in WP Professional Rugby (Pty) Ltd.
Their investment isn’t just about financial stability; it’s about preserving a legacy and serving the community.
For Le Roux and his family, it’s a labour of love and a commitment to the future of rugby in the Western Cape, and with their passion and dedication, the DHL Stormers are poised for success both on and off the field.
In the second installment of an interview with Rugby 365’s Jan de Koning following the recent equity deal, our new owners shared how Red Disa is focusing on team management of the teams under WPPR’s umbrella.
“We manage the DHL Stormers team, the DHL Western Province [senior] team and the post-school age-group teams,” he told Rugby 365.
“The company owns all the trademarks and the IP you need [in order] to manage the team.”
