Seven-try DHL Stormers sink Edinburgh
The DHL Stormers scored seven tries in a 43-21 win against Edinburgh at DHL Stadium on Saturday.
It was a dominant performance from the home side as they maintained their unbeaten record at home in the Vodacom United Rugby Championship this season.
The DHL Stormers struck first as Suleiman Hartzenberg collected a pinpoint cross-kick to score in the corner.
Edinburgh levelled things up with a try from wing Jacob Henry, but the DHL Stormers took the lead back soon afterwards as Hartzenberg scored in the same corner to make it a double.
It was left wing Leolin Zas’ turn next, as he pounced on a loose ball to race away, although Edinburgh managed to stay in touch with a try from No.8 Bill Mata.
Zas had the final say in the first half though, with his second try sending the home side into the break with a 26-14 lead.
The DHL Stormers kept the momentum at the start of the second half and it was not long before Hartzenberg flew over in the corner for his hat-trick try.
The forwards got in on the act with Evan Roos scoring from a maul, before Edinburgh responded with a maul try of their own.
Roos made it a double with a second maul try, which put the seal on the bonus-point win.
