The DHL Stormers scored two tries in the first half, as the first one came from a good chase by winger Gio Aplon and another try against the run of play by fullback Joe Pietersen. Highlanders’ flyhalf Chris Noakes converted two penalties and missed two.
The DHL Stormers are still the only unbeaten team in the competition and face the Crusaders at the New Christchurch Stadium next week.
