At the halfway mark of the 2023/24 season, the DHL Stormers Faithful have shown incredible support for their team both in the stadium and the online space.

The Faithful are rightfully regarded as among the best supporters in club rugby for their passion and unwavering loyalty to the DHL Stormers.

The statistics this season back that up in no uncertain terms, with people flocking to DHL Stadium and backing their team wholeheartedly on social media as well.

Rounds eight and nine of the Vodacom URC over the festive period saw the competition break attendance records in consecutive rounds.

Round Eight saw a combined crowd of 135 747 people watch Vodacom URC matches, with the biggest crowd at DHL Stadium where there were 39 925 watching the DHL Stormers take on the Vodacom Bulls.

Round Nine saw 146 046 combined, with the DHL Stormers Faithful once again the biggest crowd of all with 37 246 at DHL Stadium for the coastal derby against the Hollywoodbets Sharks.

At the halfway point in the season the DHL Stormers enjoy the highest attendance in the Vodacom URC, with an average of nearly 22 000 at each home game, which is up by more than 20% on the same point last season.

However, it is not just in the stadium that the Faithful are showing their unrivalled support for the team.

The DHL Stormers’ following on social media has grown by an astonishing 22 339 this season, which is more than twice the growth in the same period last season.

This underlines the fact that the team are deeply connected to their supporter base and the rugby community in Cape Town and indeed across South Africa and the rest of the world too.
