The Stormers trained at their headquarters in Bellville on Monday. Afterwards Stormers media manager Frikkie Erasmus said no definite decision on the big Fijian flyer has been made.

“Rassie will wait until Friday to see how he reacts to treatment. He is making progress, so Rassie doesn’t want to make a decision right now. Rassie would probably announce a side on Wednesday but wants to give Sireli as long as possible.

“He is at training everyday but won’t take contact yet,” said Erasmus.

Assistant coach Gary Gold confirmed that Naqelevuki was making good progress after suffering a chest injury in the warm-up match against Boland two weeks ago at Wellington.

“He is coming along nicely and is responding well to his treatment. We will have a look later again to see how he’s getting on. He ran a bit today (Monday) but we will continue to assess him during the course of the week.

“We may make a decision later this week but will monitor the situation closely.”
