Andries Bekker has recovered from his toe injury sustained against the Lions at Newlands four weeks ago, with Pieter Louw replacing Francois Louw who sustained an ankle injury during training late last week. Percy Montgomery has also returned to Cape Town with an ankle ailment.

Brian Mujati left the field on a stretcher in the 31st minute of the Vodacom Stormers clash against the Brumbies in Canberra on Saturday. Whilst the injury does not appear to be as serious as initially feared, the player’s fitness is being monitored closely. Given the long haul flight to New Zealand, Rassie Erasmus has opted to send for Tighthead Prop Brok Harris, as cover for Mujati. Harris, who made his Vodacom Stormers debut in 2007, has recovered from a leg injury sustained in the preseason campaign.

Pieter Louw has been in inspiring form both as part of the Vodacom Stormers preseason squad, as well as in his loose trio combination with Jody Burch and Pieter Myburgh during this year’s Vodacom Cup tournament.
