The first home game of the 26/27 season at DHL Stadium sees the DHL Stormers take on the Hollywoodbets Sharks in a big Vodacom United Rugby Championship derby. There is a lot going on, so here is all you need to know in one place.

Gates open early at 13h00 – three hours before kick-off – with all sorts to keep you entertained before and after the rugby as we go Beyond 80 Minutes for our first home match day of the 26/27 season.

The DHL Stormers will be playing in their new black alternate kit – a throwback to the iconic Men in Black campaign from 1999.

The DHL Stormers Bolts will be in action against Leopards U20 in an SA Rugby U20 match that will kick off 30 minutes after the Vodacom URC derby.

There is a big crowd expected, so please make sure you park remotely, make use of the free MyCiTi shuttle service and get to the stadium early.

The match

The Vodacom URC match kicks off at 16h00. With both teams stacked full of Springboks this promises to be a classic.

There are 11 Springboks in the DHL Stormers match squad, with scrumhalf Haashim Pead set to make his debut in a team that will be led by club captain Ruhan Nel.

Make sure you get there early. There is a full day of entertainment at DHL Stadium before kick-off and you do not want to miss a moment of it.

The first shuttles will leave at 12h30, thereafter a bus leaves on demand. The last return bus leaves the Stadium bus station at 20h30.

Use public transport to reach the bus stations and either catch the free shuttle to the stadium or use the Fan Walk.

Road closures

There will be controlled access to Vlei Road. Fritz Sonnenberg Road and Stephan Way will be closed. Please also note that there is ongoing construction at the V&A Waterfront which will cause delays — plan your route accordingly.
