DHL Stormers squad stretch their legs in Noordhoek

An extended DHL Stormers squad took on UCT in an opposed training session at Masiphumelele RFC’s ground in Noordhoek on Friday.

With the Vodacom URC and Investec Champions Cup currently on a break during the Six Nations, the DHL Stormers squad took the opportunity to square up to a UCT team that is preparing for the upcoming Varsity Cup.

The opposed session saw rolling substitutions used to give players on both sides some valuable gametime and there was some entertaining rugby on display.

Centre Chris Hollis, scrumhalf Imad Khan, prop Kwenzo Blose and loose forwards Junior Pokomela and CJ Velleman all crossed the whitewash for the DHL Stormers squad.

After the session, the DHL Stormers engaged with the local crowd. They will face Maties in a similar opposed training session next week.
