RIP Margaret Dobson
The Western Province Rugby community is mourning the sad passing of Margaret Dobson.
Mother of DHL Stormers Head Coach John and wife of the late Paul, who devoted his life to the game as a referee, writer and coach, Margaret will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all whose lives she touched.
A warm and friendly lady, Margaret will be remembered for her kind nature and gentle soul.
A nurse by profession, she ran the school sanatorium at Bishops where her husband was a teacher and later worked for Catholic Welfare and Development.
Margaret would often be seen in the grandstand at Newlands with Paul to support their son in his role as DHL Western Province and DHL Stormers coach.
She leaves behind son John, two daughters Anne and Clare and five grandchildren, Tom, James, David, Sarah and Annabel to whom the wider rugby community offer our sincere condolences.
