Know your opposition: Scarlets
The DHL Stormers will face two-time champions the Scarlets in the final round of league action before the Vodacom United Rugby Championship play-offs.
The Scarlets are based in llanelli and will host the DHL Stormers at the Parc y Scarlets ground on Saturday, 21 May.
The team was founded in 2003 and is one of four Welsh regions in the Vodacom United Rugby Championship, their name was changed from Llanelli Scarlets to Scarlets in 2008.
Parc y Scarlets was built in 2008 and holds over 14 000 spectators.
Champions in 2004 and 2017, they are a highly competitive team with Welsh internationals such as Jonathan Davies, Gareth Davies, Liam Williams, Wyn Jones, Johnny McNicholl, Rhys Patchell, Ken Owens and Samson Lee in their ranks.
Former player Dwayne Peel is the current Head Coach and has steered the team to tie top of the Welsh Shield.
Scarlets will be aiming to beat the DHL Stormers in order to claim the Welsh Shield honours and secure a place in the Heineken Champions Cup next season.
They are currently in 10th place on the overall standings and cannot make the play-offs, but will be highly motivated to end their campaign on a high in front of their home crowd.
