Join the ballot to watch the Boks at DHL Stadium
The Springboks will play their first Test in front of a crowd at DHL Stadium when they face Wales in the third Castle Lager Incoming Test on 16 July and you can be part of that historic occasion by entering the ballot system.
Given the current uncertainty around the potential COVID-19 regulations for venues and matches in July, such as the number of spectators, seat spacing and other restrictions, a ballot system is being used to ensure everyone has a fair chance of being there.
The ballot will be opened to the general public via the Ticketpro website on 22 March, with the full process to be communicated in due course.
The ballot will run in the same way as the successful system for the British and Irish Lions Series last year and similar processes and rules will apply.
This will allow you apply and pay for as many ticket options in specific categories as you like on the Ticketpro website, with the lottery set to be held closer to the match when all COVID-19 regulations are confirmed.
Successful bidders will be issued tickets for specific seats in chosen categories and refunds will be paid to all those who do not get all the tickets they initially paid for in the ballot.
Virtual card holding clients of Springbok partner, FNB, have had an “early bird” window to snap up seats, which ended on Tuesday, 8 March.
2020 Newlands season ticket holders will be granted preferential booking of up to six tickets each (separate information will be emailed to each season ticket holder outlining the process), with the ballot then set to be open to the general public on 21 March.
The Rugby World Cup champion Springboks played three Tests at DHL Stadium last year, winning two in their series victory against the British and Irish Lions, but this will be the first Test at the iconic venue which will have a crowd.
Full explanatory ballot information will be published on our platforms. So make sure you get your ticket request in the ballot on the Ticketpro website to be part of this historic occasion.
