DHL Stadium ready to welcome the Faithful to watch the DHL Stormers
With just 2000 spectators currently allowed under government COVID-19 protocols for sporting fixtures in South Africa, there will be limited availability of tickets for the DHL Stormers’ upcoming Vodacom United Rugby Championship home games against Zebre Parma and Cardiff.
The DHL Stormers will play in front of the Faithful for the first time at their new homeground DHL Stadium when they host Zebre on 27 November and Cardiff on 4 December.
Sponsors and other stakeholders have all been allocated a proportionally reduced amount of contractual tickets, with the balance of the total 2000 tickets to be available for sale to 2020 Newlands season ticket and current DHL Stadium suite holders. 2020 season ticket holders and current suite holders will receive further, direct communication on this process soon.
Unfortunately, this means that given the current regulations, no tickets will go on sale to the general public while government COVID-19 protocols allow only 2000 spectators.
Should there be an increase in attendance for these matches according to COVID-19 protocols, these conditions will be revised accordingly.
All those attending will have to adhere to government regulations by wearing a medical mask and providing a COVID-19 vaccination document confirming full vaccination (Only fully vaccinated people will be allowed to attend) and ID along with their match ticket to gain entry to DHL Stadium.
There will also be temperature checks and a verbal COVID-19 questionnaire for each spectator, with entry denied to anyone who does not comply with these regulations.
Despite these limitations, these will be the first DHL Stormers games with crowds at DHL Stadium and an important first step in having the Faithful back in full force.
