The DHL Stormers will be looking to back up after their win in Johannesburg last week when they take on the Cell C Sharks in a PRO14 Rainbow Cup SA coastal clash in Durban.

There is some rain around in Durban today, so expect slippery conditions and an almighty battle up front as these two teams throw everything at each other.

0 Action is underway in Durban where the DHL Stormers are looking to make it back-to-back wins away from home as they take on the Cell C Sharks at Jonnson Kings Park for the first time since March last year.

2 – Slippery conditions and the DHL Stormers defence forces an early knock-on so they will have a scrum in their own half.

4 – Both teams kick for position in the wet and it is another Sharks knock-on, this time in their own half so the DHL Stormers have another scrum.

6 – The Sharks collpase the scrum and Abner van Reenen takes aim at the poles from just in front of halfway, but it falls short.

8 – Another knock-on from the Sharks, under the high-ball this time, so the DHL Stormers have a scrum just outside the 22 this time. This time the Sharks are given a penalty and Bosch has a shot at goal from his own half and it is over to put them 3-0 up.

13 – Another DHL Stormers scrum and another penalty for the Sharks. This time Bosch kicks to the corner.

15 – The maul is stopped and a Sharks players jumps into Herschel Jantjies. The ref awards a Sharks scrum in the 22.

20 – Sharks awarded a series of penalties in the 22 as the DHL Stormers defend their tryline. Eventually prop Ox Nche forces his way over for a try to make it 10-0.

25 – What a kick return from Edwill van der Merwe. Comes from his own half and speeds up the middle to score under the poles. That stunning individual effort cuts the home team’s lead to 10-7.

27 – DHL Stormers are starting to get their confidence up and put some phases together. Another knock from the Sharks and another scrum on halfway.

30 – It goes on the blindside to Sergeal Petersen, but his kick goes directly into touch. Knock-on at the base of the ruck from the Sharks and they were holding players at the breakdown so the DHL Stormers have a penalty.

32 – They go the corner as they look for a try that would give them the lead. They maul but it is stopped and held up by the Sharks so the home team have a scrum in their 22.

34 – Scrum penalty for the DHL Stormers this time and they kick to the corner again as they look for the try.

37 – DHL Stormers hit the lead in Durban as that man Edwill van der Merwe gets over for his double. Good work from the forwards and then patience as it goes wide for the speedster to waltz over out wide. They go 12-10 up just before half-time.

40 – Half-time in Durban where a double from Edwill van der Merwe has given the DHL Stormers a 12-10 lead at the break. Big second half coming up.

42 – What a start to the second half! Bongi Mbonambi peels of a maul and gets it away to Herschel Jantjies who finds a flying Pieter-Steph du Toit. The big man stretches his legs to score and take the DHL Stormers’ lead out to 19-10.

45 – Great kick-chase and Frans Malherbe wins a breakdown penalty but Van Reenen misses the penalty.

47 – The Sharks take advantage right away as they come from their own half to put wing Yaw Penxe over in the corner. That cuts DHL Stormers’ lead to 19-15.

50 – Header assist from Yaw Penxe who takes a pass to the head which bounces loose and fullback Aphelele Fassi gathers to score and give the Cell C Sharks a 22-19 lead with 30 mins left in Durban.

53 – Pieter-Steph du Toit taken out off the ball, so Tim Swiel kicks the penalty to draw the scores level at 22-22 with 25 mins left.

57 – DHL Stormers putting the pressure on in opposition territory. Sharks caught in possession and have to kick out on the 22.

59 – DHL Stormers surge into the 22 but it is lost forward so the Sharks have a defensive scrum. Ref blows another penalty so they can clear it.

63 – A new front row on the field and a big shove from them earns a penalty. Swiel’s penalty kick hits the outside of the pole though so scores remain level.

65 – Sharks blown up for taking a player out in the line-out, so the DHL Stormers have an attacking opportunity in the 22.

67 – Sharks collapse the maul so the kick to the corner again as they look for the bonus-point try.

68 – Sharks not rolling away at the breakdown this time, so wing S’bu Nkosi is shown a yellow card for repeated infringements. DHL Stormers kick to the corner again.

70 – DHL Stormers hammering away and an attacking kick goes dead, so the Sharks have the 22 drop-out.

72 – Sharks get field position and on the attack, but it is lost forward in the tackle so the DHL Stormers have a scrum on their 22.

74 – DHL Stormers earn a scrum penalty so they can kick for touch and set up a line-out in the Sharks’ half as they look for the winning points.

75 – Kick goes up high and Penxe knocks it on so the DHL Stormers have a scrum in the 22. Great opportunity to win it here.

77 – The forwards win a scrum penalty and Swiel steps up to kick the penalty to put them 25-22 up.

80 – The DHL Stormers spend the rest of the game in Sharks territory as they close out the game. Great composure in touch conditions to get the win.
