Looking ahead to your SuperBru picks for Round 8, the team stays on the road, travelling to Christchurch to take on seven-time champions the Crusaders. With Rugby League Park now re-opened, the home team will be looking to follow up their previous success at the ground against the Cheetahs with another South African scalp.

The Stormers though have been so impressive in their domination of opposition packs in recent weeks that you expect them to dictate the course of this match, with Peter Grant and Joe Pietersen kicking the points. Winning in Christchurch would surely cement their status as favourites for the title. Stormers by 4.

Elsewhere this weekend in New Zealand, the Blues have a must-win match against the visiting Sharks. Having only picked up one win all season, the situation is desperate the for Auckland outfit, but it only looks like it will get worse against the 2007 finalists. Sharks by 8.

Across the Tasman, the Force are first up hosting fellow Australians the Waratahs in Perth. With the Force looking very blunt in attack last weekend, this should be a win for the visitors. Waratahs by 9. The Brumbies are then at home, looking to get back to winning ways against the Rebels. This one should go down to the wire with both sides in good form, but the home team should sneak it. Brumbies by 5.

The weekend’s final two matches are back over in the Republic, beginning with the Cheetahs hosting the Chiefs. These two sides have racked up nearly 350 points between them so far this season, except the Cheetahs problem lies in the fact that they’ve also conceded 200 of their own. This could be the biggest scoreline of the whole weekend, but with Johan Goosen on form the home side should just about have enough to pick up the result. Cheetahs by 3.

Last but not least, the Lions take on the Bulls in Johannesburg. Bottom of the ladder, John Mitchell’s side are in desperate need of a reprieve, with an absurd injury list of over 10 players and captain Johann Strauss a doubt for this weekend. It means that their chances are incredibly slim against a confident Bulls pack. Bulls by 15.

Good luck this week with your SuperBru picks, let’s hope for more Stormers success!
