Message from WPRFU President Mr Thelo Wakefield
Welcome to DHL Newlands for the start of the new Vodacom Super Rugby season. The DHL Stormers have a new coach in Robbie Fleck, and with the new expanded format of the competition there is much for the DHL Newlands Faithful to look forward to this year.
We kick off the 2016 season with a mouth-watering encounter with the Vodacom Bulls, as the North-South rivalry is reignited to usher in a new era at DHL Newlands. We also welcome new sponsors BrightRock, who join our title sponsor DHL and fellow associate sponsors LandRover and adidas.
‘n Hartlike welkom aan die Vodacom Bulls se afrigter, Nollis Marais, hul kaptein, Adriaan Strauss, asook die ander spelers, bestuurslede en beamptes. Ons vertrou julle sal jul besoek aan die Kaap geniet.
Nuweland is almal se tuiste. Dis ‘n plek wat vir duisende mense vermaak verskaf. ‘n Plek waar mense uiting kan gee aan hul gevoelens. Waar mense hul helde kan sien en ou vriende weer bymekaar uitkom.
Die Nuwelandse skare bestaan uit ‘n magdom van alle rassegroepe en ouderdomsgroepe. Almal kom met een doel – om hulself te geniet. En as die DHL-Stormers wen, word in die strate fees gevier.
I would like to wish our DHL Stormers side the best of luck as they seek to start the new season on a high note with a victory over our old foes from Pretoria.
